post-hudba
closing concertWhen: Saturday, March 21
Prague-based alternative duo post-hudba consists of Tomáš Havlen (composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer) and Dominik Zezula (composer, lyricist, vocalist). After their previous album My všichni tady a teď, built on catchy choruses and polished electronic production, their latest record Nad prázdnou nocí kroužili sokoli ventures into the murkier waters of post-punk, guitar riffs, and abstract gothic.
Sokoli represents a return to roots — folk, dirty guitars, grainy noise, and abstract lyrics. The pop choruses are still there, just a bit more hidden. The album's central theme is Order vs. Chaos — a struggle that manifests in every aspect of life. One of the inspirations comes from the mythology of Ursula K. Le Guin and her concept of a person ruled by their shadow.
The album is released on the community label Bad Names. Visual identity is by Štěpán Svoboda, graphic design by Jaromír Květoň, and mastering was handled by Martin Havlen at Resound studio in Liberec.
